Rabbi Shlomo Yitzchaki (1040–1105), known as Rashi, of Troyes, is the foremost commentator on the Torah and Talmud. His commentaries accompany nearly every printed edition and remain the gateway to Jewish study. The exact location of his grave in Troyes is uncertain.
