Rabbi Moshe Cordovero (1522–1570), the Ramak, was the great systematizer of Kabbalah in Safed before the Ari. His work Pardes Rimonim organizes kabbalistic thought, and his Tomer Devorah addresses ethics. He is buried in Safed.
